We seek an ambitious researcher who would like to study for a PhD on data linkage, within the Child Health Informatics Group at UCL ICH. This post would be suitable for a highly skilled quantitative researcher who wants to address the challenges of using linked data to inform policy, service development, and/or methodological advances.

The successful applicant will lead a Wellcome Trust funded study to develop and evaluate methods for linking and analysing multiple longitudinal population studies and administrative data. This will contribute to the UK Longitudinal Linkage Collaboration (part of the National Core Studies for COVID-19 research), linkage between health and education records within the ECHILD (Education and Child Health Insights from Linked Data) research database, and will involve collaboration with data scientists at the Ministry of Justice.

Key requirements: MSc in relevant discipline, or equivalent experience; experience in handling large datasets; keen interest in data linkage and knowledge of linkage processes; experience of statistical methods and methods for handling missing data.

This post is available immediately and funded for 36 months in the first instance. For more details and to apply, click here.
