Applications are open for a PhD studentship at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London.\u00a0This is an exciting opportunity to undertake a fully funded PhD in Statistics and Medical Imaging in cancer clinical trials with a generous stipend.\u00a0This project is funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) at the Royal Marsden Hospital (RMH) and ICR.<\/p>\n
Title:\u00a0\u00a0Maximising use of imaging data in clinical trials (<\/b><\/span>https:\/\/bit.ly\/3r7ZNMr<\/a>)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n Supervisors: Prof James O\u2019Connor (ICR), Nuria Porta (ICR), Prof Dow-Mu Koh (RMH-ICR), Prof Emma Hall (ICR)<\/span><\/p>\n This PhD is multi-disciplinary with supervisors from radiology and medical statistics background. The successful candidate would split their time between the ICR teams of Quantitative Biomedical Imaging and the Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit (ICR-CTSU), and would join a large multidisciplinary research group, benefitting further from interaction with external leading experts in the field.<\/span><\/p>\n Eligibility:<\/span><\/i>\u00a0The scheme is open to nationals from<\/span>\u00a0all\u00a0<\/i>countries. \u00a0The project would suit a candidate with strong statistical and computational skills. The candidate would be highly numerate with a keen interest in developing and applying statistical methodology to complex multidimensional and correlated data.\u00a0Candidates must already have been awarded a first-class or second upper class\u00a0honours degree in Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science.
