EORTC is looking for young statisticians to join their fellowship program.<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Main responsibilities \/ Major Activities<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Learn the design and gain professional experience in the conduct of clinical studies in oncology through participation in the day-to-day activities of the statistics department and interactions with the other EORTC Headquarters Departments and with medical specialists in the field<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Contribute to the analysis and publication of the results of international EORTC cancer clinical studies and to ancillary research projects<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Contribute to methodological developments and application of recent statistical methods including the use\/development of the needed statistical programs (in SAS or R)<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

Profile<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

<\/u>\u00a0<\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 A Master’s degree in biostatistics or PhD or equivalent science degree with good knowledge in statistics<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Very good knowledge of English<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 * \u00a0\u00a0Experience with the use of SAS, and preferably also R<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Knowledge of and\/or experience with survival data analysis is an asset<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Ability to work independently, under supervision of a senior statistician<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Good communication skills, both orally and in writing<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Have an interest in medical research<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Be able to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 Be under 35 years old<\/u><\/u><\/span><\/p>\n
