Applications are now open for an exciting Trial Statistician\/Senior Trial Statistician position at The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR), London.
\nThe Institute of Cancer Research, one of the world\u2019s leading cancer research centres, is looking for a Trial Statistician \/ Senior Trial Statistician to join its expanding statistical team of over 20 statisticians at the Clinical Trials and Statistics Unit (ICR-CTSU) at its Sutton site. ICR-CTSU manages an exciting portfolio of national and international phase II and III clinical trials; and an expanding number of early phase I\/II cancer trials.
\nYou will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team on the statistical development, oversight and analysis of a number of clinical trials within the portfolios of ICR-CTSU and the ICR\/Royal Marsden Drug Development Unit, with a primary focus in developing and implementing efficient trial methodology in early phase and adaptive trials. You will be supported in your career development with a range of formal courses and on-the-job training as appropriate.
\nYou will be a highly motivated statistician with a post-graduate qualification in statistics (or a first degree in statistics and practical experience in medical statistics), a sound understanding of clinical trials and experience in applying statistical methods to real data.
\nGood communication skills, including excellent written and spoken English, are essential to liaise with multi-disciplinary team members across multiple studies. You should also be happy to work individually as well as part of a wider team. In addition, proficiency and experience with the statistical programming language R or STATA will be required.
\nAppointment will be on a fixed term contract for 2 years in the first instance, with the potential for renewal thereafter.
