About us
\nGustave Roussy is a non-for-profit hospital attached to Paris-Saclay University and located close to Paris, dedicated to the care of cancer patients and to the development and advancement of biomedical research from the bench to the clinic. Recognized internationally, the medical and scientific teams collaborate to form a unique environment for conducting basic and applied science.
\nThe\u00a0Office of\u00a0Biostatistics and Epidemiology, in collaboration with its clinical and research partners, is running numerous (inter)national\u00a0academic\u00a0trials from Phase I to Phase III and meta-analyses in oncology. In this context, the biostatisticians of the Office design and analyze the clinical trials. They can also participate in statistical methodology projects, health economical evaluations and\u00a0clinical prediction modelling. The research activity is part of an INSERM \u2013 University Paris-Saclay team (Oncostat team from the large Center for Epidemiology and Population Health – CESP, Villejuif). The\u00a0team\u00a0publishes yearly about 100 peer-reviewed publications.\u00a0See\u00a0https:\/\/www.gustaveroussy.fr\/en\/biostatistics-and-epidemiology-department-overview<\/a><\/p>\n

\nDescription of main activities\u00a0:
\nDesign and analysis of phase I-III clinical trials: sample size calculation, writing of the design and methodology of protocols
\nInteractions with clinicians and data managers
\nRunning statistical analyses
\nReporting analyses
\nWriting of abstracts, communications and manuscripts
\nBiostatistical methodology<\/p>\n

\nType of studies concerned\u00a0:
\nMainly national or international phase 1, phase 2 or phase 3 clinical trials
\nObservational \u2013 real world data studies
\nPrognostic and diagnostic studies
\nMeta-analyses<\/p>\n

Requirements:
\nPhD in (Bio)statistics\/Public Health\/Epidemiology OR Master Degree in (bio)statistics\/data science with professional experience in biostatistics \/ clinical trials.
\nHigh level in programming with statistical software packages including SAS\u00ae or R.
\nFluent in written and spoken English.
\nBeyond your skills in statistics, you are recognized for your rigor, autonomy and relational qualities.<\/p>\n

Characteristics of the contract: Permanent full-time position.<\/p>\n
