The Global Health Trials Unit at LSTM is looking for a medical statistician to join us working on a range of clinical trials. The appointee will join a highly motivated and competitive multidisciplinary team addressing high-burden diseases, including among others HIV, malaria, tuberculosis, neglected and emerging tropical diseases and respiratory infections in low and middle-income countries. The focus is on phase II/III and large-scale global health trials which range from new diagnostics, treatments and vaccines to strategies of health care delivery.
The successful candidate will contribute to the design of trials and quality observational studies, support the development and deployment of statistical tools applicable to a broad range of clinical and laboratory-based research and conduct analyses of data. You will operate in a multi-disciplinary team comprising clinical and basic scientists with the support of professors and senior lecturers in statistics, mathematicians and epidemiologists based at LSTM and partner institutions worldwide.
Salary £35,326 – £40,927 per annum, full time contract (ends Dec 2023)
