About us
The Master's Program in Biostatistics and Health Data Science is an interdepartmental master's degree of the School of Medicine and the Department of Mathematics of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens. It involves the design and development of an Interdepartmental Graduate Program with the objective of providing a high level of graduate education, promoting knowledge and research in statistical methodology as applied to medicine and the other health sciences. The Program aims to train and specialize young scientists in the broad and developing field of applied statistics in the health sciences, with the aim of contributing responsibly and effectively to the design, collection and analysis of data in various fields of medicine and other health sciences, in the undergraduate and postgraduate education as well as in the research for the development of new Biostatistical methods
65% of our graduates work in hospitals or other public and private sector positions within the country
20% of our graduates work as biostatisticians in positions abroad
10% of our graduates are faculty members in universities in Greece and abroad
31% of our graduates were accepted for a PhD in in universities in Greece and abroad (including some of the most prestigious institutions)
