We are looking for candidates for an exciting PhD Research Fellowship in biostatistics / bioinformatics to work on statistical methods for personalised therapies in cancer.
The PhD student will have a joint affiliation with the Oslo Center for Biostatistics and Epidemiology at the University of Oslo and the Department of Tumor Biology at the Oslo University Hospital. This position is funded through the Center of Excellence for Research-based Innovation “BigInsight: Statistics for the Knowledge Economy”.

The successful PhD candidate will explore and develop statistical models for the prediction of drug responses, as well as synergistic effects of drug combinations, and to develop software solutions to make them accessible. The candidate will join the research efforts within the BigInsight project “Personalised cancer therapies” and as such will be part of a growing multi-disciplinary group of researchers in Oslo working on the development of methods for personalised therapies in cancer.
