Gustave Roussy is a non-for-profit hospital attached to Paris-Saclay University and located close to Paris, dedicated to the care of cancer patients and to the development and advancement of biomedical research from the bench to the clinic. Recognized internationally, the medical and scientific teams collaborate to form a unique environment for conducting basic and applied science.
The Office of Biostatistics and Epidemiology, in collaboration with its clinical and research partners, is running numerous (inter)national academic trials from Phase I to Phase III and meta-analyses in oncology. In this context, the biostatisticians of the Office design and analyze the clinical trials. They can also participate in statistical methodology projects, health economical evaluations and clinical prediction modelling. The research activity is part of an INSERM – University Paris-Saclay team (Oncostat team from the large Center for Epidemiology and Population Health – CESP, Villejuif). Description of main activities :
Design and analysis of phase I-III clinical trials: sample size calculation, writing of the design and methodology of protocols
Interactions with clinicians and data managers
Running statistical analyses
Reporting analyses
Writing of abstracts, communications and manuscripts
Biostatistical methodology

Type of studies concerned :
Mainly national or international phase 1, phase 2 or phase 3 clinical trials
Observational – real world data studies
Prognostic and diagnostic studies
Meta-analyses

Requirements:
PhD in (Bio)statistics/Public Health/Epidemiology OR Master Degree in (bio)statistics/data science with professional experience in biostatistics / clinical trials.
High level in programming with statistical software packages including SAS® or R.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Beyond your skills in statistics, you are recognized for your rigor, autonomy and relational qualities.

Characteristics of the contract: Permanent full-time position.
