We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student with career goals in medical statistics. The successful applicant will be working on a fully funded project titled Efficient Design and Analysis of Small Population Clinical Trials with External Data, under the supervision of Dr Haiyan Zheng & Professor Chris Jennison.

Candidate requirements: Applicants should hold, or expect to receive, a First Class or high Upper Second Class UK Honours degree (or the equivalent) in mathematics, statistics, or a relevant subject. A master’s level qualification and good skills in computer programming would also be advantageous.

Funding note: Home tuition fees, a stipend (£18,622 per annum, 2023/24 rate) + research/training expenses (£1,000 per annum) for up to 3.5 years.
