Fellowship/reasearch grant in biostatistics

The Bicocca Bioinformatics, Biostatistics and Bioimaging Centre (B4 Interdepartmental Center) is offering a research grant at the Department of Medicine and Surgery of the University of Milan-Bicocca.

The Center aims to bring together in a single University structure the methodologies, expertise and computational capabilities needed to address the challenges of quantitative and personalized medicine, and to contribute to the enhancement and dissemination of team-based research, in the close interdisciplinary collaboration with researchers from the biomedical disciplines.

The project focuses on the modelling of incidence and progression of high impact chronic disease using machine learning and statistical models. The grant is funded by the Italian PNRR (National Plan for Recovery and Resilience) and aims at the integration of clinical data from the outpatient community services and community hospitals to the administrative electronic databases and their use for the development of prognostic models. The candidate will specifically work on the development of dynamic prediction models for chronic diseases by using continuously updated administrative and clinical data.
