Research Associate in Biostatistics (Trial Statistician): Newcastle University

We are excited to announce a new opportunity for a Clinical Trials Statistician within Newcastle University’s Biostatistics Research Group. This position will involve collaborating on several clinical trials within our portfolio, ensuring the trials are conducted and analysed to the highest standards. You will be a suitably qualified statistician (with either a PhD in a quantitative subject, or a Masters in a quantitative subject together with track record of working as a statistician in medical research). We’re especially interested to hear from individuals who are interested in applying innovative methods to improve the design, conduct and analysis of trials. As well as working on existing trials, there will be opportunities to be involved in designing future clinical trials. For statisticians who have not previously worked on clinical trials, training and support will be provided.

The BRG is a dynamic group of 31 applied and methodological biostatisticians who work together to develop and implement state-of-the-art statistical methods in health research. We are looking for an individual who is ambitious to achieve results, who works well with others and who is willing to contribute to our positive research culture.
